Update on Sheila

Hi all,

I just spoke to Sheila's daughter. She came through surgery fine and is just a bit sore! She will be staying in the hospital overnight tonight then home tomorrow.

Also, Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts through my surgery on Tuesday. I really appreciate each of you.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this message due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Thanks for the update, Vera!

Shelia actually surprised me with a phone call a little before 8 pm this evening. She sounded a little tired, but really great. She did wake up with the lap band as they found nothing, not even the need for a biopsy or anything. All that worry for nothin!

I'm hoping she is feeling up to the support group meeting next Thursday so we can finally meet face-to-face!
