Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Hi Shelli,

I'm sure that all will be well. I know how scary it can be to not have things go as 'smoothly' as we hope or differently than we are expecting it to. I'm glad that you found that there was a reason for the challenges you have been facing and I look forward to hearing that you are progressing well.

All the best,

Barb

Hi Sheli -

My APL band was primed with 4cc at the time of surgery, I found this out at my first post-op visit. I think most surgeons "prime", especially the larger bands.

I'm looking forward to hearing good news with your purees!
