Stressing out and really struggling!

Thanks for listening to me whine. I think I just needed to get it all out. I know deep down that this too shall pass. I just hope it passes soon. . .

Yesterday was one day. It does not define who you are or how you eat. You made some choices you're not proud of, but hey...that's life. Some days you're going to eat more or different. That's OK...as long as you pick yourself back up and keep with the overall plan.
You've done so wonderful. Don't let a bad day, or even a frustrating week make you think you're a failure...because you're not! Keep your eye on the bigger picture and keep on celebrating each accomplishment (past and present!)
Do not let one day get you down... I ate like that last week... yep lots of junk.. everyone has bad days.. you are NOT a failure! You can do this!! try to start small like making yourself get tha****er down! I find if I do that Im not reaching for junk... you can do it!!!

Donna,
You are not a failure ... If you were, you'd just give up and wouldn't be working on it. We all stumble and make mistakes, but difference between being a failure and success is getting up and trying again ... and you are doing that. Keep working on having healthy stuff and around you and trying to remove temptation. Log what you are eating. You may find that while you could be making 'wiser' choices, you are doing quite as badly as you fear. I also find that when I'm logging what I'm doing, I make better choices for myself ... maybe that would help? Keep looking for distractions that bring you pleasure and keep you away from food. Often things that keep your hands busy help with that because it's hard to knit, paint, bead,... and eat ... whatever else you might like to do.
Keep trying sweetie, that's the secret to success.
Hugs,
Barb

I haven't had the surgery or the weight-loss yet, but I would think that recognizing the problem and being aware that you are having these cravings is a HUGE step in the right direction! I know I didn't GET this fat by being aware of how and why while it was actually happening. The fact that you are aware is a good thing...now you can work on it. And no way, no how, should you EVER consider yourself a failure. Just go back and compare your pre-op and current pictures, and think how you felt then versus now. No "failure" could have possibly made the successful transformation you have!!
Hang in there girl. I have faith in you, and you are not going to undo all the wonderful success you have had this past year. You've put too much into the new you, and the new you will win out in the end!!
Take care,
Cathy W.
You ARE A SUCCESS!!!!
