It's back to liquids for me.
Hi Shelli,
I don't have personal experience with the band, but I understand it's not unusual to take some time to tolerate it and that it's extremely rare that someone won't tolerate and will need to have it removed. If you haven't posted this to the lapband board, that might be a good idea where you are likely to get a larger pool of people with experience with the lapband.
Hang in there,
Barb

Shelli - Sorry to hear that your going through a rough patch. Try not to concern yourself that this is not going to work and you'll need it removed. Maybe with all of the extra stress of going back to work, being on your feet so much, changing your diet...have just created some extra swelling. Just take it easy and stay with the liquids, warm ones especially.
Hang in there girl!
Hang in there girl!
Shelli,
I had the lapband before my revision to the RNY and it is not uncommon for them to have to remove some fluid. It may take several months before you get a real fill. It is very unlikely that you would lose the band. Concenstrate on getting rest and give yourself time to heal. Do not overstuff the band ever!!! That will cause you to lose the band.
Thanks,
Barbara
