am a week and 4 days out from my RNY, feeling great, getting all my foods down ok.

Thou I haven't felt hungry yet, I haven't really felt full, actually I feel NOTHING? I try to just drink a serving of protein shake or 1/2 cup of "food", Guessing this enough?

Is this normal?

It's completely normal.. during surgery, they cut all those nerves so they aren't working right now.

That's why it's critical for you to be measuring everything so you don't hurt yourself.

I felt hunger within a day or two and got super full from just a sip of fluid.  But...I am not the norm.  Most people take awhile to get those feelings back (some never do.)  Like Andrea said...measure everything at this point, both because you don't have those feelings and it's part of retraining your brain.

Congrats!

It is important to measure your food now, because you will not have the full feeling to tell you you've had enough!! It was about 4 to 4 1/2 months post op that i FINALLY started feeling full!!!!  So hang in there and measure your food and you will be fine :)
