I know you will figure this out you are the best problem solver I know.
I got a great idea when you get back we could go to HT and get you some cheese straws at the deli and Kraft canned cheese.
That will stop the weight loss for sure and you cant be accountable for eatting this either.
Yesterday I had a intresting experince it about blew me away.
I was at the bank and one of the trust officers came up to me and said "you look great " she also said are you sure you need to loose more?
I thought to myself are you crazy YES I want to loose more I AM NOT EVEN AT @ two hundred yet.
This trust officer probally wears a size 6.
She probally ment well but when I look at my pics now I am seeing the smo person again.
Some people on the boards tell me I need a new avatar but I just dont see the weight loss.
I do feel wonderful.
Annie
Annie,
OMG you have me ROFLAMO!! I don't know about the cheese straws, but if my weight loss doesn't stop I just might have to try 'em.
I agree, you do need a new avatar! I know that you don't see it, but you are smaller now than wehn you had your last photo taken. As we get smaller, it doesn't take as much loss to create more significant changes.
You are doing just great. I know that you aren't done losing, but I think when people have a certain 'image' of us in their heads. I think it not only takes us a whilel to adjust to the new us, but it takes others a while as well. I think that your trust officer is now seeing you in a relatively 'normal' size range, because to be honest you are getting there and she has a frame of reference having seen you so much heavier. She too, will adjust as she sees you slim down to your perfect size ... whatever that happens to be.
I know you haven't done it yet, but I really would love to see you go have a professional portrait done. I want you to see yourself as we see you. I can't tell you how helpful it was to me to see the portraits that are on my profile. I think I need news ones, because those are about 25 lbs out of date now... LOL. I think that as we get smaller and are much more willing to 'look' at ourselves, we become even more critical of what we see. I also think that it's hard not to see the SMO person we have been and find the new, healtheir, slimmer person we are now. It's a process and takes time; you know, we were big for a very long time and it will take some time for our heads to catch up to the new reality. I honestly do think that photos are a big help in retraining our heads.
Keep up the great work my friend,
Barb
