Finally took that first step!!

Well, I finally decided I was just going to close my eyes, hold my breath, and......jump!!  I went to Winston-Salem yesterday for the information seminar with Dr. Fernandez ("Fuzz").  Even though I already knew most of the basic WLS information (thanks to OH!!), I really enjoyed myself and was able to get answers to a few questions I still had.

Now I'm pumped and ready to go!!  Let's see how well I can jump through all the necessary hoops. Ugh, first up is filling out all those medical history papers, gathering my records, and getting them to Elizabeth at Dr. Fuzz's office.

Here I go!!!!

Hi Cathy!!   Dr. Fuzz was my surgeon too!!  He and his staff are wonderful and even though it seems like this journey takes forever, it is so worth it in the end!!  Which type of surgery are you interested in?  I had the RNY and have lost 134 lbs to date.  I haven't had any complications or issues at all and would do it all again in a heartbeat!  If you have any questions I can help you with, feel free to PM me and just ask!  Congrats on taking this important first step and good luck to you!!

Good luck - I have not regretted my decision one time.  It has been a wonderful ride and I look and feel better than I have in years!!

The only regret i have had is that i didn't do this a few years ago!!!  I love my RNY!
