It was great to finally meet Jennifer Huntley and see so many new and old friends

We had such a nice time tonight. While it was little loud at the restaurant the food was great and the company was better. It was so very nice to meet Jennifer in person and get a hug. While you can see that she's pretty in her photos, they just don't do her justice and her warm laugh and twinkling eyes are nearly as delightful as her warm hug and sweet southern charm. OMG! She's sooooo slender! I remember walking up behind her and thinking how tiny she looks. When I mentioned it to her, she said she was thinking the same thing about me.

We had a nice group tonight. Jamie and her DH, Shannon joined us at the last minute because they had returned from their beach trip; it was great to see so much less of Jamie! We were also joined by Valerie, a new member of the NC WLS Meetup who is two years postop, and her dear husband Michael also joined us. It was nice to meet new people. It was so nice to see Kim (KadyKim), LisaW, DebM, Margaret (Magpie) and Sarah too! We all ordered and then shared a bit of this and that. I think my favorites we the salt and pepper prawns, minced chicken with lettuce cups, and wok charred beef, but the scallops, almond chicken, broccoli beef and cucumber were all really good too. I don't think that there was a dish that I wouldn't enjoy. It was great to sample a bit of this and that. Thanks everybody for sharing your goodies!

While the company and food was wonderful, the table we had was literally 'in the kitchen' and all of the noise made conversation a *****allenging so after dinner a few of us wandered over to Starbucks for a 'skinny latte' for desert and more chatting.

I had such a nice evening and look forward to doing this again soon. Not only was it nice to sit and chat and grow our friendships, but it was nice to get dressed up for an evening out.

Thanks again to all who came, it made my day!

It was so much fun to have a night out with you guys!  I had a BLAST!  Everyone is so much fun and it felt like we had been friends for years!  We need to do this again soon!

Thanks so much for taking and posting the photos. I really appreciate it and I know everyone else does too.

You are so right when you said that it felt like we'd been friends for years. There was an easy comraderie that comes with a friendship forged through the thick and thin of battle. I look foward to continuing this and the many other friendships for years to come.

As you said, we need to do this again soon.

P.S. Yep, I finally got it all packed around 1am and off to RDU at 4:30. Now, we're out here enjoying the lovely weather and most of all, hugs from my sons!!! What could possibly be better?!)

We did have a blast and we WILL be doing it again. Probably locally and we may try to stretch some of these out a bit too!

You are so very sweet with your compliments. Do I really look so different? I don't see it. I'll have to see about getting a new avatar made ... I'll probably need to leverage a bit of expertise from our house computer graphic guru ... aka Jennifer H.

I think we all agree it would be super for Jamie's sweetheart to do a little mini-workshop with us.  He had so much good advice about nutrition and fitness.  When he was talking to a little group of us, it was probably the only time I shut up the whole evening!  

Jamie and her hubby are so darned cute together, and they just beam in each other's presence.  They made me smile so hard I think I sprained a lip muscle.

Annie, you and he should co-host a workshop on fitness!  Y'all have some great advice and knowledge about what's effective physically and mentally.

Kim I never thought of myself as a fitness expert LOL to think I live for it now.
