Oh my gosh, I would be furious with the pulmonary doctor! I am so glad that it all worked out for you. I'm praying that your 8/15 surgery date won't change.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

There's nothing worse than obstacles and hoops, especially with something like this life-changing event!  I am glad to hear a alternative has been found to keep you on track with your original surgery date.  Keep us posted!  {{{Hugs!}}}

im glad everything worked out!   did dr macdonald require to to have that? cause he never said anything to me about it.. and he better not saying anything at the last minute either! lol        do u go to the nash or pitt?     and if u go to nash is it cristina that u deal with?  cause i can NEVER get ahold of them! its really frustrating! i called them LITERALLY 25 times today! no answer. grrr

Drs. Bauman and Pirrello don't allow their patients to wear their CPAP for weeks after surgery, let alone in the hospital.  I'm amazed by the surgeons who do allow it or suggest it for their patients.

Dena - Just curious why one WOULDNT wear their CPAP post-op? I use one and had to stay overnight at the hospital post op just because of this.
