My Story ( if anyone cares)

Jenny,  First of all, like others have said, you can be rest assured that WE CARE!!! 

It's so good to get to *know* you.  I just turned 40 this month and have been married 22 years with four kiddos (ages 8-20).  My doggie is also one of my children...sometimes I think they think I love her more!  ha! 

I'm 5'6" with a BMI of 46, so you are *thinner* than me!    I feel your pain about the never-ending circle of dieting, only to get heavier, and heavier.  The beauty salon is one of my most anxiety-triggered places.  I think because I have to sit in front of the mirror and face reality for a full 30+ minutes!  (My head still hasn't wrapped around the fact that I am now morbidly obese!)

It's such a relief to hear that you haven't given up.  As others have said, you shouldn't have any trouble with going through a BCBS Bariatric Center of Excellence.  I also have BCBS and have chosen the COE in Hickory.  Still waiting for my initial appointments.  The waiting isn't easy because I am so ready to get on with the show, so I can only imagine how difficult the denial must be on you. 

I hope you get your approval very soon and find a support group convenient for you to meetup with.  I just know that you and I, Jenny, are both going to be out running and playing with our sons in the near future!  {{{Hugs!}}}

You sound sooooo sweet, it makes me feel so much better knowing that there are people like you that really understand how I feel. And to think theres probably a skinney person making the decisions for insurance approval that can't relate at all.

Jenny - it's really neat being part of the OH family. We're all in this together. No matter what stage of the process you're in there's someone else with you. Keep your chin up.
