It's been a while, but I'm back....

Good morning to everyone. I'm back and I'm on the loser's bench! cheer3od.gif

I had RNY on 7/10/08 and had a leak, so had to have a second surgery on 7/11/08. It's taken me a while to recovery from the double whammy of 2 surgeries back to back. I was in the hospital for 5 days including 24 hours in ICU, so it's been a rough road but well worth it.

As of this morning, I've lost 42 lbs (including the 13 lbs of water weight that I gain at the hospital)!

When I was in the hospital I started to wonder what I had done to myself, but now, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so I thought maybe my post would encourage those in my shoes and also let those preparing for the surgery know that even if things don't go as planned, it will all work out in the end.

Good luck to everyone and happy Monday!

Thanks. I need that encouragment. You are doing good now I see. Sorry you had to have the leak. I am glad they were watching for it and caught it in your hospital.

Glad you are on the mend and this is only the beginning.   After about 6 weeks, you will feel like a new person!
