Hello all!   I've gotten to the point where the skin on my thighs and calves is starting to droop (I lost from the top down, think Hershey's kiss shape )  Anyhooo, now it is hard to get the skin stretched to where I can shave my legs effectively.   Any body got any ideas?
Has anyone used a cream depilatory with good results.  Anything else you suggest?  Do I DARE try and wax

Thanks!

(Edited two days later to mae "things and calves" read "thighs and calves"  -  sheesh!

I've always waxed, still do. I hated cutting myself, so i just stopped shaving. i have the same problem around my knees.  Waxing is great.  If you get someone who doesn't know what they are doing, it will sting a little.  The trick is: Only doing one strip at a time and pulling it away quickly while at the same time putting your other hand down on the skin immediate. NO pain or sting at all.   I've been waxing for so long, that it doesn't bother me in the least and I don't have to have it done as often as I did shaving.

I always just do a monthly treat - wax and pedicure (they message the leg up to the knee... woot!).

Hi Robin,

Only on a WLS board would we talk about these things! LOL! I just cut myself 3 time today while I was shaving and I've had a problem with waxing because my skin is too loose. I'm not sure what the best answer for this delima is ... I'm hoping to see a great idea so I can borrow it.

Robin, my friend... I haven't shaved my legs in a year - it is too hard to reach around all my fat !  So at least you are able to shave now.  Just be careful.  I hope in a year I can say I have the same problem  LOL

Hey Robin!!

While I don't really have much of a problem with saggy skin on my legs yet, I do have problems with terrible saggy skin under my arms.  Makes shaving there the pits!! (pun intended!!)  I just cannot seem to get the skin taunt enough to shave that area as effectively as I would like to.  I decided to try some Nair to see if it would work and it does!!  I look kind of funny walking around for about 5 minutes with my arms stuck out but since I only do it about twice a week on average and I make sure I am the only one home, it doesn't really make that much of a difference I guess!!  The only other thing I don't really like about it is the smell but it's not really all that bad and I can stand it for 5 minutes.  Hope you find something that works well for you!!

I have used nair for years because of the past diabetes, I would cut myself and it would take forever to heal - they have a new fast acting nair and the smell has greatly improved - it also seems keep the legs smoother longer than shaving
