A little nervous about tomorrow...

I have my pre-op with Dr. P tomorrow.  I first saw him 4/9/08 and he told me I didn't have to lose any weight, just don't gain.  In May my PCP took me off my Aldactazide (diuretic) I've been on for 15 years.  I immediately gained 14 lbs. between May and the end of June.  They gave me my meds back at the end of June.  I have now taken off 13 of the 14 lbs.  I weighed 245 in April and this morning it was 246.  I didn't eat any food today.  I drank a protein shake at lunchtime in hopes to somehow get the last pound off before tomorrow morning.
What exactly do they do at the pre-op appt.?  When you meet with anesthia, do you also have bloodwork?  No one has mentioned anything about pre-op bloodwork like a type & screen or a clotting time...Do they not do that for Lap RNY?
Sorry for all the questions...I'm getting more and more nervous as next Friday is quickly approaching!!!

All Doctors are different but for my preop appointment they did draw 3 or 4 vials of blood, did an ekg, a chest x-ray and a urine specimen. I didn't get to meet the anesthesia folks.

Don't know if this helps or not - but good luck look how close to the losers bench you are.

I saw Dr. Bauman last week and they first weigh you and then they give you all the prescriptions you will need before surgery.  Mostly they explain all the prescriptions and answer your questions that you have about the EMMI video.  I dont know if you had to watch that for your surgery but  I know you do for gastric bypass.  He did ask me if I had gained any weight and Ive lost five pounds so thats good.  He told me not to gain weight before the surgery so Im trying to be careful.  Im not sure if they will go from the pre-op weight or the first weight.
I went to anesthia right after my appt. and they just showed me how to use this breathing appliance.  Im not sure what its called but you have to put it in your mouth and suck in.
They took my blood pressure and explained what they would do the day of surgery and it was very quick.  I was in there maybe 10 minutes at the most.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
