OOOHHHH NOW I UNDERSTAND!!!

My surgery is 8/15. My pulm. dr still hasnt submitted my sleep study results to my surgeon (which shows apnea). ive been stressing myself and "worrying" Southern Surgical because i was afraid i wouldnt get approval from BCBSNC in enough time for my surgery.
I was just informed that because Southern Surgery is a "center of bariatric excellance" i dont have to go thru the approval process. it is automatic because i meet the requirements.

well whoooooooooooooopeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

now this REALLY is going to happen and im spazzing !! ( in a good way)

i begin my adkins diet next week. OMG OMG OMG



time to go buy my vitamins and supplements

im more excited now than i was when i got my surgery date last week. i feel like such a dummy for not understanding what Southern Surgical was saying.

Buckle that seat belt and get ready for the ride of a life time.
BTW get chewable vitimins like Viactive I take 3 a day and have never been told my levels were off.
My viactive is like my little candy treat everyday.

Isn't that the bomb, Mellissa?!  I about fell off my chair when I found out the same thing about the clinic I am looking into...also a BCBSNC Bariatric Center of Excellence.  :)  Another bonus is you can go in knowing you are in GREAT hands.  They earned that stamp of approval for a reason, mostly for a very low complication rate.  Good luck with the Atkins diet!  {{{Hugs!}}}

Hey Melissa...that is great!!!!!!!!!!!  Only 23 more days.   You will do just fine but we all get the nervousness and excitement at the same time..so normal.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Congratulations - that's one less thing to worry about. I have sorta eased my way into the Atkins thing and it's not been as bad as I thought (can you believe there was a diet out there that I hadn't tried?). To me it makes sense on what not to eat so it's made it that much easier. Plus knowing we don't have to do the full liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery has been very helpful.
