I don't have any personal experience from WLS, however we have dealt with this problem on and off with my father who is in declining health.  It can and often is a sign of infection or inflammation.  If you are sick or have had a recent injury that can be the reason for the increase in the counts.  If you are generally healthy otherwise it may just mean your body is fighting off an infection.  Your doctor is probably going to do a test tomorrow to determine which specific wbc is low that should give him some additional information about what the cause may be.

I'm sorry I can't help you, but just wanted to offer support.  Don't stress too much about it.  It's probably just a temporary thing, and if your body isn't 100% today, you'd rather wait a week or two to give yourself the best chance at a smooth recovery.

Good luck!
