Back from Vacation
Haven't posted in a looong time but just had to tell everybody what's going on. I've just gotten back from vacation with the family a few days ago and, let me tell you, it was a real eye opener. It was the first real vacation we've taken since the weight loss. We visited, among other things, a small theme park, which made me a little nervous when we originally planned the trip. I've always hated going to those types of places because I always had to squeeze into the seats on the rides, or worse, was too big to ride at all. I also was always nervous about weight limits and the walking that always killed me by day's end. Visiting at 225lbs instead of 300+ was a totally different experience. I rode everything in the park easily and with no worries. I also bet we walked 10 miles between the park and the walking we did later on that night and I didn't stop to rest at all. I was tired at day's end, but I made it, boo-yow! We're invited to an "on the beach" wedding next weekend and I'm really excited about that too. We're staying the whole weekend and I can't wait to get back on the beach, especially without the extra 95 pounds!

Hi Jason. I'm Shauna. :) Welcome back home. Sounds like you had a great vacation experience. I am so happy you were able to enjoy all the rides and walking! Our family went to Dollywood awhile back and that was one of my most recent eye-openers that I've just got to do *something.* Stories like yours give me a lot of hope! :) Hope you have a great time at the wedding!

Hi Jason,
COngratulations on the weight loss and having a good time during your vacation. I've noticed that so many things are so very much easier since losing the extra weight. It's amazing how much different life is when you aren't carrying around an extra person.

Hey Jason. Glad you had a good time on your vacation. I wanted to let you know that I speak from experience that the weight being gone makes the beach much more enjoyable. I live 1/2 mile from the ocean and since I have lost the weight I have I am not nearly as wiped out after a day on the beach. That soft sand and steps are nowhere near the problem they used to be!!! Good luck and kepp up the good work!
