Barb,

Thanks for the post!  I do carry nuts, cheese, beef jerky, peanut butter and usually some fruit (I work a 12 hour shift usually)...  I am getting very tired of the same ol thing and just hoping for some variety.  I've missed coming on and chatting with everyone, it helps me even though I'm almost 6 years Post Op! !!!  I can't believe it!

I hope all is well!!!

What I keep in my desk at work Target raw mixed nuts (unroasted un salted) Skippy Natural Pnut Butter (good off the spoon, on crackers, on apple, celery) Detour Low Sugart Protein Bars 100 calorie pack popcorn (not good on the protein, good for fiber thou) Trader Joes Soy Crisps You can buy those tuna lunch kits - comes with the tuna, crackers, mayo, pickle relish.. those are fine in a pinch. Or simply keep a tuna pouch at your desk and packets of mayo to mix up and eat out of the pouch or put on crackers. Jerky can be a good option (jus****ch the sodium!). If you check out melting mamas website (she posts on the main board) she does a ton of product reviews and has links for the protein popcorn, protein chips etc that would be good for work.

Jenn,

Thanks for the ideas.  I'll have to check out her website, sounds like she's done a lot of research.  I was just getting tired of the same ol thing.  Right now I'm on a Soy bean and cherries kick.  Not together - lol!  But I'm sure I'll be on the look again soon!

Thanks again!

Sheryl

You could have a look at Turkey Pepperoni.  It's great on protein and lower in fat than it's regular counterpart.  That with cheese cubes and maybe a couple of crackers works great for me. Take care. Ellen

Own it all, it's yours!
