How many of you had Timothy Kuwada?

I just got my surgery date with Dr. Kuwada can you tell me what you thought about him? Thanks!

Hi!  I'm still preop, but not for long!!! My surgery is in 11 days! Dr. Kuwada is an excellent surgeon.  He saved my sister's life during emergency surgery 2 years ago and then did her cancer surgery this year.  She is 425 lbs and at extremely high risk for any type of surgery, yet he managed to pull her through both times, and even was able to do both surgeries laparoscopically!! Which, in my opinion, was a miracle!  His skills are impeccable! His personality is a little reserved, and he can sometimes be a little short with you, but I'd rather have a skilled surgeon who's not as congenial than an incompetent surgeon with great bedside manner. He has performed WLS on two gals on this board, Jennifer Huntley and Reenie, and both are at or below goal one year or less later!  I only hope he does just as good a job for me. I think you are in excellent hands! Good luck and congrats on getting your date!!!

Congratulations on you Sept. 15 date. It will be here before you know it.  In my eyes he is remarkable. I feel extremely lucky to have Dr. K as my surgeon. If you get a chance,  go read my profile and Jennifer's. I also have many friends that have had Dr. K has their surgeon also.
