Okay gang.  What are you looking forward to doing once you have dropped some weight OR what have you done since you lost the weight that you dreamed about before surgery? Me - ride more rides at Carowinds - no longer worrying if a chair will break when I sit on it (or I can't get up because I'm stuck on the arms of the chair!)

I want to ride the bike trails on Jekyll Island Georgia. There are like 22 miles of trails there. My Mom has promised me that the day I lose 100 lbs she'll call and make reservations for the whole family to go. (I've already been on line and picked out where I want to stay and everything). I want to play softball again. Even if it's just in the church softball games, I still want to play.  I want to go on vacation to Biltmore and walk every inch that I possibly can and love it. Last time I was there I huffed and puffed and really didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped. Maybe it would have been easier to say that I want to travel and do a whole lot of active things. Look out Georgia here I come. - Iris

I love the idea of playing softball again. Reading some of these answers has made me realize I would like to get into an organized sport for adults on a league or something. I will have to check with the rec department here and see if they have them.

I haven't done it yet, but I'm seriously considering taking a belly dancing class.

I love not having to worry about fitting into a plane seat or asking for an extender belt when I'm flying.

I love being able to cross my legs.

I love putting my foot up on my chair ... right up by my butt.

I love being able to wear clothes from just about any store I want to.

I love having my labs pulled and getting an HbA1C of 5.2!!!

....THanks for this thread ... it's lovely!

I actually took belly dance several years pre-op.  It is a hoot, and a serious workout! And I'm glad I could give back to you for a change.  You always are reaching out to others and I thank you for that!

I want to be able to jog on my treadmill. I have no idea how to run havent ran since I was a child so I may have to relearn how to do that. Yesterday I am working on doing a few seconds of jogging on the treadmill. It dosent look like any jogging other people do but in my mind I am jogging just a little. I am always careful about my balance because for years I have been so afraid of falling. Last night we watched Dances With Wolves one of my favorites and there was a shot of the lead actress undressed I thought to myself "boy I sure wish I could look like that". I did walk this morning in my red halter top.                                       Annie
