Well, I need to get my but moving and have been thinking about getting the wii fit. My son has the wii in his room so I could use it while he is at school...no hearing, are you done yet! LOL It's just to hot outside for me to go walking...I'm a Yankee..LOL! Will it give me a decent workout? Thanks!

I don't have wii fit but I've heard GREAT things about it and plan to get one shortly after my surgery!  What better way to work out then to have fun doing it? lol I can't wait to do the yoga and hula-hooping!!!

it's a great addition to a workout but I wouldn't use it for working out. There are no games on it that can get your heart pumping and sustained at high enough rates for you get your cardio in. It is however REALLY REALLY fun and a great addition

I went to you tube and watched some people using the wii fit and it looks they have some running courses where you can run around an island or a town. At this point, anything I do is exercise! I am soooooooo out of shape......

I Wendy I am hoping to get a wii myself but not the wii fit that is just an extra addition to the regular wii. I understand that with a regular wii console usally a few games come with it and the games are lots of fun and will get you moving. I am a southern belle and I dont do the heat. Over the past 6 months I have bought a treadmill, elliptical trainor,a rowing machine, and a bike. All my machines are in a extra bedroom it is my own mini gym. If I think about going in there then I tend to come up with every reason why I should not so I dont think about it I just do it. I am working out twice a day because my metabolism needs that. Many people have to go to a gym but for me having my own gym here is working for me. I could not do any of my workout without my MP3 player. You can always find used equipment on Craigs list and Play it again sports. Yesterday I got some dumbbells just two pounds but it is a start. Check out sparkpeople.com it is great site and you can track your daily fittness.                                                Annie

Annie -  Sounds like you could start selling memberships, LOL  I tried an elliptical machine a while back and thought that it might be better for my knees, less stress. I'll have to keep my eye on craigslist for one. You'll enjoy the wii, just be careful..it can be addicting. We have family challenges in bowling and I love watching my son when he boxes..too funny. Laughing is a workout isn't it?! I'm recommitting and am determined to make this band work for me! Your a great inspiration to me, keep up the great work!

I cant wait to get my wii. I have been addicted to pc games for years. I bought Lee an xbox for his birthday and I cant get enough golf in LOL I love playing LOTR too love killing all those Orcs.                                        Annie I bet if you find a treadmill it will help you make that band work.

Hiyas Wendy..... I am pre-op and looking forward to "after".   Have you thought about a Y membership?  I already have one (FYI they offer "scholarships" and charge based on income) and would love to have a "buddy" to talk to while working out .......

Hi Monika - I have considered a Y membership soooooo many times over the years and have even been there and picked up the paper work. Fear of commitment! LOL  I'm scared that I'd being paying all of that $ for something I wouldnt keep up with and really use. Hmmm...if I had a "buddy" Something for me to think about, thanks for the invite.
