2 questions

I'm new to NC, but do we have any teaching hospitals here?   Also, if you are a patient of Bauman or Pirrello, can you give me a heads up on the pre-op diet? I made some head way today with them....they said I finished all of my testing and now it's in another mailbox to go to my insurance company, but it won't even go to my insurance until next week...I'm really trying to be patient!!!

PCMH and Duke.  I'm still new to the area, too, so I only know of these two.  I'm sure there are others.

No preop diet (as far as when i had surgery with them).  However, if you gain weight after you have your presurgery appointment, they will cancel your surgery.  The day before surgery I had to drink this prep stuff to clean me out, but that was it.  Good LUck.  Your in great hands!

Someone just posted it on the main board...Private wanted $18000 for breasts and TT...teaching hospital did it for $5800....I think it was Harvard if I'm not mistaken.

I am Dr. Bauman's patient and there was no real pre op diet.  Like it was said before you just can't gain any weight or he will cancel the surgery.  I know your looking for the cheap price.  Just remember this is a life commitment and you need to find a doctor that you are comfortable and trust.  I went to three different doctors for the first visit until I felt like I could make that commitment with.  Cheaper doesn't mean better.    Good Luck Gretch
