Dr Pirrello, Concord, NC

Is anybody seeeing Dr. Pirrello in Concord, NC? Are waiting for surgery date?

Im seeing Bauman in concord and I believe he is his partner.  I have a surgery date scheduled for August 7th.

What insurance do you have and how long did it take to get an answer from insurance once it was submitted?

I have medcost preferred through Carolinas Health Care System.  All the papers were submitted on a monday and I had the approval letter mailed to me on friday.  So that was alot quicker than I thought it would be.

How long from your insurance approval until you got a surgery date?

I have Dr. P. FABULOUS FABULOUSSSSSSSSSS DR......... So compassionate and caring and very very skilled at what he does..... He brought a new procedure to their office......... Love him....... You will be so happy with him.............. I love my FOBI pouch.........

I completly agree Dr. P is great. My approval took 2 days my DH took 1 week. both are with BCBSNC. Surgery was scheduled within two weeks for me 3 weeks for DH.

Jon is my doc, too.  I have BCBS Illinois and it took about three weeks (they lost some of my supporting paperwork)

I love Dr. Pirrello!  He is Dr. Bauman's partner (and I love Dr. Bauman, too, in case he's reading...lol).   Dr. Pirrello has a very compassionate bedside manner and is just super sweet to his patients.  I think they'd all agree.  He is one of the sweetest surgeons I've ever met -- and as a surgical nurse, you can believe that I've met a few and they don't exactly have a reputation for being called "sweet".   My sister is currently trying to get approved for lap band surgery with Dr. Pirrello.  She's just gotten her first (and hopefully last) denial from Cigna this week.  Dr. Pirrello told her he will keep trying for her and will write her an appeal letter.  Cigna frequently denies you the first time and then approves an appeal.  I was denied by them twice and had to appeal before getting approved for lap RNY (and my BMI was 53).  It's a headache, but he will help you through it and you will love him.  I'd trust him to operate on me any time, and I say that both as a patient at their office and as a nurse who works with him.
