Wow what an ordeal! Do you mind sharing the brand of contact solution you were using and what you were switched to? Last year my eye doctor switched me to a different brand of contacts for the same reason - my eyes need more oxygen. Well fine. I hate the new contacts with a passion. My eyes stay dry and even though they are month disposables they barely last two weeks before they need changing. So I've been wearing my glasses - no worries with oxygen that way. I need to go back and get checked and switched to something better but haven't wanted to deal with it. I hope your eyes get unblurry soon! Becky

Wow!  That's fascinating, Jenn!  I am just about legally blind without correction (I can also be legally blond but that's another story) and of course wear contacts and glasses or I just don't, er, see.  When you first posted about hitting your head and suffering from blurred vision, I immediately thought "detached retina" or perforated retina because I have experienced both of those (largely due to my severe nearsightedness) and have had to have corrective surgery. What kind of lenses were you wearing?  What kind of solutions were you using?  I am about to start the research for cataract surgery and want to know what kinds of lenses I should be requesting just in case I need to continue wearing contacts after the surgery. Thanks for the update.  I hope these new lenses do the trick!  Keep us posted.

So what kind of contacts did the new doc prescribe?  Of course I wear Acuvue2 and use Equate!  LOL

I love CIBA Vision Clear Care. I don't tolerate any brand of multi-purpose solution. I always had to rinse with saline. The clear care works differently and so much better. The case has a disc on the end that interacts with the solution and creates bubbles that clean the contacts. This stuff does not irritate my sensitive eyes and does a super job of cleaning my contacts. I'm on my 6th week with my current set of contacts. I sound like a comericial, but it works for me. Yikes!  Acuvue 2 here AND  I use either the equate or the target brand solution.  Ughhhhhhhhhhhh.  Peachy.  Thanks for the heads up though! Nancy

Oh My Jennifer I totally understand what you are going through. Blurry vision is such a helpless feeling and not to mention the many trips back and forth to the eye doctor in hopes they can help you. Sounds like the man you saw who said your eyes needed more oxygen sounds like that makes good sense but time will tell the story. Wishing you that the outcome will be in your favor.                            Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
