Thanks, I t sounds like you have got a good handle on the protein deal! I hope I can be that inovative and come up with things I really like. It looks like I'm definitely gonna have try some of those bullet thingies.

Congrats on getting your date! I am a difficult one...I really hate most protein powders.  The favorite that I have found is the New Whey Bullets (42 grams in 3.1 ounces.)  Like Kim, I mix them with Crystal Light (sometimes dilluted a little bit.)  I also make jello with them sometimes (just for a change.)    You can get the bullets at Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, and various places online.  I normally buy mine at GNC. Very important since you're pre-op:  Don't buy too much of any one thing!!!  You very well may be wasting your $$.  My tastes changed after surgery.  Pre-op I liked the Isopure ready-to-drink and bought quite a bunch.  My friends all got me a giant pre-op gift (so sweet) and bought me quite a few also.  After surgery, I drank about 2 bottles and that was it.  Yuk.  I suddenly didn't like them anymore.  So, my advice is to buy a few different things to try and if afterwards you find you like it...then you can get some more or even ask someone to pick them up for you.

From one Deb to another...thanks! I have heard not to buy to much before surgery, so I am keeping that in mind, but I've really got to get on it and start at least trying some of these! I think I'll make a trip to GNC this weekend and see what they have got.

I drink no sugar added Carnation Instant Breakfast as I don't have time for breakfast and it is ez and taste like chocolate milk.  I also use the protein bullets (i only like grape and fruit punch) and they are 42g of protein.  I usually get to 40 g of protein with diet and then just drink a 1/2 of a bullet.  They are only 3 ounces so a few sips gets it in and to me taste like liquid jello but a little thicker.   The cheapest place i have found them is online at the following website and know others have found on ebay. http://www.nutrahealthy.com/servlet/the-28/New-WHEY-Protein-Bullets/Detail Good luck on your journey...you are in for a great ride!! Any of the Lean Dessert proteins, Syntha 6 proteins, and the protein bullets in grape and fruit punch.  I usually purchase them from bariatriceating.com, but I search the web and find the best prices.  These are great! Good luck!

I love the protein buletts and just mix one with two tubes water and crushed ice and drink it that way. I also love the Carnation Instant breakfast, I mix it with 1cup skim milk, 1scoop unjury unflavored protein powder, 1 tablespoon French vanilla international sugar free, cafrinr free coffe mix woo**** in my blender thingy and love it. Let me say this I hate all protein powder so it is amazing me to me that I like the unjury unflavored stuff.     I am at the point now where I can get most of my protein from food, but I still like to have a back up like the bulletts I actually carry one in my purse at all times just incase I get stuck out and need to protein up. Good Luck this is the best gift you can ever give yourself

I don't like shake type or milk type drinks, so I like the Isopure..........it's like kool-aid with protein added......well, stronger. It's ready to drink, but I add water and ice to mine to thin it out......the whole bottle is 42 proteins.  You can get it at GNC and my Dr. carries it in their lobby.  Don't go spending oodles before surgery if you find something, your taste will change.
