How in the world am I going to go 10 more days with nothing but clear liquids???  and when can I get in my swimming pool?    These are the two questions that have been haunting me today.  It's been 4 days since surgery.  Oh and I found out my doc used the new Realize band.  There is a web site just for me to keep track of my progress - pretty cool.  Anyway I am driving myself nuts.  I wonder if I can eat some SF Jello if I kinda liquify it in my mouth before I swallow it.......anyway thanks for listening to my ramblings.  :)

I can't answer either of your questions b/c i"m still pre-op but noticed that you used Dr. Naziri. How is he? He is also going to be my surgeon after I finally get done with all these pre-op appointments. I'm assuming that you are well if you want to get in your swimming pool. Congrats on your surgery!!!!!

He is wonderful!!!! I had my surgery on June 9th and Dr. Naziri did it! I am so HAPPY that I picked him. He is the greatest! You can ask him any question and he acts like that he has all in time in the world for you! He has never made me feel like he was rushed when he was with me!!! You will be so glad that you picked him!!

Dr. Naziri is awesome.  I had no complications at all and have not taken any pain meds for 2 days.  Good Luck with your surgery!

I think all doctors are different but when I was on the clear liquids it included sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles.Hope that helps. Melissa

I went back and reread and I can have SF Jello!  Had some last night -- it was the BEST jello I have ever eaten in my life!  Hahahahahaha

Congrats and welcome to the loser's bench!! I know exactly how you feel! I thought I would never see the 14th day! I had gastric bypass and Dr. Naziri did my surgery. He said I could have sugar-free popsicles and sugar-free jello. I would not have made it without my popsicles! I got them from Wal-Mart, they where in a clear bag. There was a variety of flavors in the bag. For a bag of 12 was $1.50. Hope this helps! Hang in there, it does get better!

((((Lizzie)))),

I remember how hard that was. My husband is getting ready to do this too and I was thinking about that today. All I can say is that I know it's hard, but it's SOOOOOOOOO worth it and it will get better; just try not to eat the furniture or the dog in the meantime! LOL  Check your paperwork that you got from your Dr. My program is very strict and it allows SF popcicles, but not jello; each program is different and you want to follow the guidelines that your program subscribes to.

Hang in there kiddo ... It's gonna be so worth it!
