Well I hit the 250 mark today and haven't seen that number in over 15 years.    Last week when on vacation, was able to use the lapbelt on the plane without an extention belt.    We rented a convertible which was low to the ground and I didn't have any problems getting in and out of it.  First time i have been in a 20 and 1 x in over 15 years.   I am able to work in the backyard doing yardwork all day without dying that evening and the next day.   My energy level is up tremendously.   Now for my issues.   I still haven't been able to get in all my protein without using a supplement which have been protein bullets.  I use 1/2 of one each day which is about 20g of protein.    I have always been a fish when it came to water and now have trouble getting all that in.   If I get to 50 ounces, I consider myself lucky and if i make it to 64, it is time to celebrate.   I have noticed when i can get to 64 the lbs fall off faster so that is definitely something i need to work at.   I try to exercise in the pool every day for an hour but at the present time I am only at 4 to 5 days and know i need to do better.  With my crappy knees (which have improved with the wt loss) the water is the best exercise i can get.   If there is thunder or it looks like rain, i give myself excuses not to exercise but that is exactly what it is.  I have an exercise bike in the house so there is no excuse. Was hoping to get to 100 lbs by my 1 yr anniversary on 8/19 but that is going to be real close and will only happen if I don't hit any brick walls.   Just need to kick up the exercise and water intake. Thanks all for your motivation, inspiration and support.  I know I could not have gotten this far without you. Love ya, Pam

Thanks....i think a big source of motivation is at least 3 or 4 times a day, someone at work will ask how many are you down now?   Or you are melting away.  That sure feels good! Pam

Pam,      You are doing excellent, my friend. I am stoked also. I finally got the scale to move again and dropped 3 lbs in the past 2 daze. And quess what! I am at 259 lbs! WHoo Hoo! I've been struggling to get out of the 260's. Been there far too long.      That's the lowest weight I've been in well over 10 years. I may gripe and moan and get discouraged sometimes but IT IS WORKING and I feel phenomenal.      Keep up the good work. I'll be rooting for ya to hot your goal by your anniversary. xoxo Mare

You have done wonderful Mare.   I always check on you since our surgeries were around the same time.    Keep up the good work.   Was just by my sis in laws and they showed me a video from a wedding last year and what a shocker.   I didn't want to see it as embarrassed that i let myself get to that point.   Oh well, can't cry over the past and just work towards a wonderful, healthy, slimmer future. We can do this my friend!! Pam

Pam,

Congratulations!!!! You have done an absolutely amazing job and it's showing in so many ways. Not just in the number of pounds lost or sizes down, but in the improvements in your quality of life and your recognition of changes you need to continue to work on to enable you to maximize this incredible opportunity you have given yourself to get your life back. I'm so proud of you.

I know that you have have a specific number in mind for your 1 year anniversary, but I'd like to suggest that you go to www.thinnerself.com and plug in your numbers there and see if/how practical that is from where you are now. It very well may be and if it is, it will give the motivation to get 'er done, as my nephew would say. If it isn't quite within in the realm of likelyhood, you will know that too ... and just about how much longer it might take for you to get there ... I guess what I'm saying is that while it's all about numbers, it's just a number and you will get there ... If the stars and the moon and the scales all line up on the same day, well ... we'll have to see. Whenever you get there, I'm looking forward to hearing you shout it from the rooftops.

Again, warmest congratulations on a job well done. Keep up the good work.

Barb

Thanks so much..i really appreciate the kind words.   And i messed up, meant to say 100 gone by my 6 month anniversary.    that is 7 1/2 more weeks for 22 lbs so it will be close.   As you said, if it doesn't happen by then, it will happen but i have kicked up my exercise as this gave me a different motivation..lol Thanks, Pam
