Toning Before Surgery
I think that starting an exercise program now is great, but I have to honestly tell you that 'toning' is not likely to make much of an impact on how your skin will drape. While it will provide support and definition, the real determining factors will be genetics, along with how long you have been obese and how heavy you were. It affects all of us somewhat differently. If you check my profile, you will see some of my musings on this subject.
All of this said, while I wish I had been one of few lucky ones to dodge the issus of excess skin, I also have to say that relatively speaking, I see it much more than others do and I wouldn't trade nice tight skin for all of the quality of life and health improvements I've seen in the past year.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.
