avatar help please

I have tried and tried to put my picture for my avatar from photos made on my digital camera and it keeps saying it is not the right size.  Can anyone tell me how to do this. I know how to browse and all that but evidently my pics are not the right size and I have no idea how to correct this. TIA Debbe

You can send the photo to OH and they will crop it for you. I *think* the address is [email protected]
