How long did it take you to get insurance approval?
If I find out that they DO pay, I will make a post about it ... trust me. lol I am not expecting it because I don't currently have the option of coverage with Cigna anyway, but I'm hoping for it with the new company. I was told by one of our case managers that a friend of hers who has Medcost was told that it did. But I haven't been told anything by people *****ally have the first hand knowledge, so I just don't know yet.
Dr. Klein in Concord gives nurses a discount on plastic surgery, but doesn't accept insurance. If I ever win the lottery, I reckon it won't matter. Until then ... sigh ... gotta find another way or just deal with the extra skin.

I feel a little guilty after reading everyone else's replies. I had my surgery done at a military facility, so I didn't actually have to go through the insurance approval process. But I wanted to respond to your concern about your borderline BMI. I don't know what your insurance company's regulations are, but I think the standard is surgery for BMIs of 40.0 and higher or 35.0 with co-morbidities. If that's the case for your company you should be good. Good luck!
