OT ... Can I get your opinion?

OMGoodness! You are soooo sweet. Thanks so much for the compliements ... I have say though that while I"m a bit prejudiced, my daughter-in-law to be will definitely 'steal the show.' She's stunning ... inside and out! And my kids and dear husband aren't slouches either, so I think we'll have a nice ensemble cast.

Thanks again,

Barb

I guess I'll be the odd one out and vote for the brown one.  I like how it fits you better, it shows off your new curves more.  The only thing about it is I wonder how it will do in the weather in California?  Will you be outside or inside?  The Eggplant one looks like it would be cooler for warm weather.  Both dresses look great on you Barb.  Have fun! Ellen

Own it all, it's yours!

It's a garden wedding and while CA doesn't have the humidity, it will still have the heat. The reception will be indoors, of course.

I'm seriously considering the brown for the wedding because it is more tailored and more reflective of the style of the wedding. Then I might switch into the eggplant for the reception. It's soooo comfortable, it's like wearing a nightgown!

Thanks for your comments.

I do love the eggplant, but I don't know about going without the jacket. I'm thinking I'll wear that one to the reception because it's so comfortable and moves beautifully.

Thanks!

I say wear the brown one for the rehearsal dinner and then the egg plant one to the wedding and reception. Both are finds and look like they were taylor made for you. - Iris

I like the idea of splitting them, but the brown one is much to formal for the rehersal, so I might wear it to the ceremony and switch into the eggplant for the reception.... I'm used to having my cake and eating it too.

Just a suggestion--Ask the Bride and her Mom.   My daughter got married about 7 years ago on the beach.  The groom's mom wore a beach suit thing with a big sun hat and I wore a formal gown like my daughter and the bridesmaids (evening wedding).  The other mother and I really clashed in style and color.  Both dresses are beautiful on you.  You will be stunning no matter what you choose to wear!

I've asked the bride and she is a sweetheart and says that I always look elegant and it's up to me, but the wedding over all is more tailored, like the brown dress. Her dress and my son's tux are very tailored.  Her mom is stalling ... she wants to lose some first ... and hasn't picked a dress yet, so Christine said to go ahead and pick first. I'm thinking that I'll wear the more tailored dress for the ceremony and switch into the more bohemian for the reception.

Thanks for the input and compliment.
