I have A Surgery Date!

My surgery date is August 8th! I'm so stoked and yet a little scared!  I am so not looking forward to being on Optifast 2 weeks before bbut I know I can do it.  I'm ready to make the change.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I have had surgery on my stomach area before WLS... and when I compared it to the job Dr. Pender did..... OMGGGG  he is AMAZING!!!    You are truly in very GOOD hands and he is an awesome Doctor!  (sometimes his bedside manner is a little aloof)

It is so comforting to hear that Dr. Pender is awesome.  I have heard nothing but good things about him except for his bedside manner.  I can handle that!  I'd much rather have him stronger in the OR .  LOL..  He was much more talkative the last visit I went to. 

Congrats!  Aug 8th will be here before you know it.  The optifast is not that bad, the soups were terrible to me and I got really tired of strawberry.  I wish I had gotten 75% chocolate and 25% vanillia.  Think about what flavors you like ahead of time and tell the pharmacy what you want.  I just let them mix it up for me and that was a big mistake.  The chocolate is really not bad at all but then I was a major chocoholic!  Good luck!  See ya on the losers bench!  Alice

Thanks Alice!  I am afraid that I did as you did and just told the pharmacy to mix them up for me.  And they didn't have chicken soup so I got tomato which I don't care for tomato soup as it is but I thought that it may make me feel like I was eating something.  LOL
