Annie, Sorry your Mom has to wait but I'm sure it's for the best, don't want her to get an infection or worse!  As for your side... you probably did pull something while helping your Mom.  I know when I lived here before to help out with my Grams (she had alzheimers) she would be very hard to dress and assist and she only weight maybe 95 lbs.   It's amazing how much deadweight weighs...  Anyway, if it doesn't get better call your doc.  Remember to use your legs when you have to help her up so you don't pull something else or make it worse!
