Back to Work

Well. I have started back to work.  Since I am the manager at my work I scheduled myself to come back on Tuesday.  My first day I didn't do a thing!  I just sat and answered the phone and left my other 100 responsibilities sit.  I didn't feel guilty at all.  Yesterday I was feeling good and worked all day.  I normally work 12 hour days but I made it a 10 hour day.  When it was time to go home I was dead tired.  I am finding that Refried Beans and me are best friends.  This morning I decided that I would start with a protein drink instead of a glass of skim milk.  Skim milk taste so good to me but I wanted to try to try to get more protein in because I'm not getting all of it.  Well.  I tried a different kind of protein this morning.  What a mistake.  I am drinking it at work and within four sips I and I start feeling nasty.  I immediately take on of those pills the doctor gave me for nausea. Hmmm  it felt like it got stuck.  About 10 minutes later I started dry heaving and I felt it move.  It took about an hour for it to kick in and for the nausea feeling to leave.  Now I feel SOOOO tired.  I can hardly keep my eyes open.  I'm just grateful my lunch hour is coming up.  I am going to take a NAP!

Those protien drinks and me dont do too well. I love the flavors of all of them but I tried them for several months right after surgery but almost everytime I drank one I had to lay down for 30 minutes then I was ok and ready to go. One thing that helped me was mixing SF pudding with protien powder I can handle that pretty well. I have also been trying the ready to drink muscle milk still have a hard time with it but not as bad. Hope you get to feeling better and it will get better and the energy will carry you through.                                             Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
