OMG!!! We are growing by leaps and bounds!! We are busting at the seams in the best way!

I just called Perkins and told them that they need to reserve BOTH rooms for us because I already have 36 people planning to attend and a couple of maybe's... I told him that while I know that there are groups that say set up for x number of people and not that many show, that when we say we'll be there, we'll be there.

Since we are taking up both rooms, there is still room if you want to come. I just need you to let me know so that they'll be able to set up for us and have enough waitstaff to help. Obviously, they are going to have to have more than one waitperson to support this group!

Barb, I will bring my little sample cups I use for demo's I have plenty. Margi will be coming too and I will be bringing my items with me. Not only pins but magnets, and key chains. Trying to chill the rest of the evening preparing myself for tomorrow with mother. I feel if I can keep a level head this will help her too.                                      Annie

Hi Annie,

Thanks for bringing the cups. I'm sure that they will be helpful and they are definitely appreciated.

Do need I need to add one for Margi or is she already on my meetup RSVP list? ... just trying to keep the headcount/number of seats we need straight.

I was at Duke with my mother today and yesterday to see if they can figure out what's happening with her hiatal hernia and her intersticial lung scarring. Tomorrow, it's Sarah's turn. Thursday, Mom has an addenison cardiolite 'resting' treadmill test for her heart, I have an appointment with the urologist re: my kidney stone and Sarah has another appointment. It seems like I'm spending the summer on medical duty, just like you. I know that it can be stressful, but I know that you can and will do what is best for yourself and your mother. It is a wonderful gift to be able to care for them after they cared for us for so many years.

So should we make the protein there at the restraunt? I'll bring some in baggies to share as well..  And I'll bring the nut. info of the stuff that I bring as well.

Make???? No, I don't think we should be making stuff there. I think it's okay to share some prepared stuff and it's okay to share some stuff for others to prepare. If you want to make a copy of the nutritional information for people to take with, that's okay too. I'll bring some of mine already 'bagged' in single servings that people can take home and try if they want. I also have some that is canned and I'll bring some of those, so people can try them then and there.

Barb, Add Margi as my guest. I would give you her email which I need to do but Ive got to start getting ready for today I told mother's nurse to have her ready at 8:30 we will see. BTW I have already done 30 on the treadmill this morning. Bringing my Atkins For Life Book to read. I'm so proud of you for doing the things you need to do to take care of yourself. It will allow you to do the best you can to care for your mother as well.

Don't be nervous. I promise, we don't bite very hard ... LOL.  I'm kidding. This is very much a networking support group. Everyone is very friendly and giving. It's a group that I'm proud to be a part of and delighted that you are going to become a part of it.
