Got a boost today...

Thank you and Andrea for the B-12 info.  I have read that several times on different medical sites.  Good to get the right info.

I got the kudos today from my GYN doc. He said he has had several patients that have had the surgery and that they are so much healthier it makes his job easier. My PCP is on the fence but never negative about it and has followed every step of the way in getting me ready as well as the surgical office. I guess I have been lucky with finding good doctors here in NC. Sorry the one of yours is so negative but its good that your other Doc is all for it.

Thanks Ann.  This makes me realize that I deserve better support than I am apparently going to get from my current dr.  Sounds like you have found good medical support. 

I hope you can find someone better. I am sure they are out there. This solution is becoming more and more accepted and supported by the medical community

Hi Donna, Shame on that pcp has she walked in the shoes of an obese person probally not. Never forget you are the consumer and have a right to find someone else. Like Andrea said I have never had to take B 12 shots and I am almost a year out. BTW I am happy to report my hair is coming back. Hold onto your excitment and dont let others take it from you.                                   Annie

Donna, I'm sorry your PCP isn't supportive of your WLS.   I'm happy your pul/sleep dr is so encouraging regarding your WLS journey.   It won't be long before you are approved and waiting for your surgery date.  Take Care and have a great day! Judy
