no approval today ...

Just called Cigna and instead of approving it, the nurse handed my chart off to the Doctor for medical review so we wait another 2 to 3 business days. I'm about to have another friggin ulcer over this. I've reminded myself at least a dozen times today that my signature line says blessed are the flexible but I'm just not feelin it. The girls at work started in first thing this morning with "Are you approved yet?" Have you called them yet? yada yada yada. I think this is hard on them too. Hope everyone is having a great day. I love reading about everyone's wows. I can't wait to be on the losers bench with yall.

Hi Iris dont you worry you are going to be with us on the bench. The waiting part I think is worse than the surgery. All things appen in thier own time for a reason. I know what you mean by co workers and friends always asking Did You Hear Anything Yet? One day it is just going to happen and all this waiting will be a bad memory for you.                                         Annie

Glad to help or just lend an ear. We have all been where you are waiting for the phone to ring or getting that letter in the mail. I think once we decide OK I am going to do this we want it to happen right then and there. Unfortunatly I dont know why the weight loss surgery centers dangle that carrot out there. They tell you all the great things that can happen after wls but they dont tell you about all the $%^&*() you have to go through just to get to surgery. During my waitng game my depression got pretty bad so bad I had to take meds for it. Happy to say I dont need those meds now. Just hang on Iris miricles do happen.                                                Annie

I think that this approval process may well be more 'painful' than the actually surgery.
