Dr. Bauman -fill Question
Let me tell you................lol
when I was first searching for a surgeon, they did not require pre-auth. When it was time for my first fill I traveled 4 1/2 hours expecting to get a fill, only to find out I had to come back home and wait for approval- insurance changed during my 8 weeks! I have no choice but to suck it up and travel back and forth.....good thing you live closer. I have BCBS state emp. and they approve very quickly, tomorrow probably,,,,the office calls you and you get in in a day or two. He doesn't fill on Fridays. Last time I was there I stressed the inconvenience of this policy, and once he found out how far I traveled, they submitted it for immediate approval. He said there was a meeting comming up soon with the board of directors and this was one of the issues they are going to discuss. Untill then, I guess we've just got to be glad that we have such a great doc and know that the wait is worth it!
