OT... Wedding question...
Sheryl,
We were married out of town, so about 3 weeks after the wedding we had a cookout (it was October at this point). So my favors were little jars of strawberry jam with the plaid patterned lid. They went really well with the cookout theme. I've also seen people do custom decorated sugar cookies or chocolates. Good luck!

Since you and your guy like to garden you could do seed packets tied together with raffia and a note that you'll be growing the same thing and that everytime you or your gues****ch the progress of their seedlings it'll be like watching your love grow - pretty corny huh (corn seeds)

My response was just like Iris'. I threw I bridal shower for a friend of mine and the favors were bulbs wrapped in tulle with planting directions. The tulle was tied with a ribbon and a decorative sheet of paper that said, "Love grows." Everyone loved it. I like Iris' suggestion abou****ching your love grow along with the flowers. Meaningful and useful!
We did little gold frames that doubled as placecard holders with a photo of us behind their names. They could take the frames home with our photo. LOL
We also did the bubbles...very fun.
