Missed the appointment call.
The scheduler called me yesterday and I didn't have my cell phone with me so I missed the call. The message says that they are scheduling in August but don't have the august schedule up yet so I have to wait for that. So I know two things. There are no slots for me in June or July :Sigh: and I will have my surgery sometime in August. I hate waiting!

Okay, I talked to the scheduler today and she said they haven't opened up the August schedule but will have it set in a few days to a week and she will call me to set a date first as soon as she has what's available. She told me they have to allot 4 hours for my lap RNY and thats why they have to make sure they have plenty of time for me. I did ask to be put on a list to call if there is an earlier cancellation for whatever reason and she said she would but told me its rare that four consecutive hours open up at once. I guess if I were to have the lapband then it would be sooner. But I am wanting the RNY so I will wait. I am in a much better frame of mind today and am fine with waiting if that is what is to be. I have a lot going on next month anyway so a mid August date would be better for me anyway if I can't have it this month.

Hi hlmd, it also depends on what your surgeons schedule looks like. Dr. Hoxworth could possibly have openings left in June or July. Some surgeons at CCS take their vacations in June and July so you have to keep that in mind as well. But you both are on your way and Congrats...

I guess having to wait for my surgeon to have his vacation is not a bad thing. He will be rested and raring to go after he gets back and may be even better at it because he got to recharge his batteries. I guess thats the lemonade from that lemon.

I've been thinking about this timing thing a whole lot lately and I sorta hope that mine gets approved and scheduled for mid-August cause the Olympics starts on 8-8 and then I'd have something really good to watch on TV. I guess we'll wait together.
