Worried about regain? Then take a gander.
You go girl! I am finally back on the loosers bench once more also. I had gained some back after 5 years PO and was getting frustrated. I have lost 5 lbs this past 2 weeks and feel like I'm in control once more! My tool still works and I feel great!

I am really happy that I had all my kids before my surgery....I always gained tons of weight with each pregnancy...I am 2.5 years out and honestly I have had to WORK really hard the entire time to lose the 155 pounds that I have lost....I am at goal...and have been for a year....but I only lost about 30 pounds the first two months..having lost 30 pounds before surgery and had to really tune into what worked for me, I slowly lost the weight...and although I was frustrated many times when others were losing 80 pounds in two months....all that matters is that I was losing........I frequently go to support meetings which I believe is the secret of keeping the weight off.....It helps so much to be around people who understand the daily struggles we all face, ...I have always known I could regain.....People were more than happy to SHARE their horror stories of their uncles...aunts....neighbors....etc....who gained it all back....I try not to be obsessed....but I do think about it everyday....Do you attend a support meeting? I think it is very helpful.....

Umm.. well, yeah. I attend two.
I'm happy I had my kids after my surgery. If I hadn't, first off, I wouldn't have had kids. But secondly, I had much healthier pregnancies at a lower weight than I would have had if I had been pregnant 300+lbs. I might have regained some of my weight, but I would say my kids were worth it in the end.
I posted this because at my meetings, people say their biggest fear is that the surgery will not work and they will regain to their previous weight, if not more. I posted this to show people that even pretty far out (and I'd say almost 4 years is pretty far out), the weight loss can still be done. The tool is there, not broken. Alot of people have said seeing this has helped them have more confidence in their weight loss. That's why I posted it.
Thanks for posting Andrea! First of all, I'm super happy for you that you've been able to start that weight loss up again. And you're right, it's mega-inspirational to hear that the tool can still work 4 years out!
You know, I'm hoping to try for a pregnancy in a few months, and getting the weight off again is a major concern for me. But I'll deal with it, we want a family, and it'll be worth the work! :)
Congrats on being at "pre-Daniel weight", who knows what you'll be saying a few months from now!
