Whole NC Meet Up?

I would love to go!  I've been wanting to go to that zoo since we moved here, so that would be great!

If you do make it for September, I pray it's not the same weekend my husband returns from Iraq (which I have no idea when it is LOL)

Yes sir reeee! You know I'm up for it.  Just went sunday and it was pretty hot already. Had a great time walking up and down the hills.  No sugar free dippin dots though.  Cost  $10 to get in and  it was worth it. I LOVE the ZOO!!!   And meeting all of you!!!!!   YES lets do it!!! Myrtis

Did you say Zoo???? Your playing my tune. I agree with Mindy about the heat part I did not do well with heat before surgery but I think I can handle it better now. BTW I have 6 full admisson tickets to the zoo they were a gift and I am more than happy to give them to people who could use them to help pay to get in. Jenn, pm me on how you think we should give the tickets out I only have 6                             Annie

Sounds great..if the timing will work for me.  went there last month and it is a lot of walking and hills.  Am scheduled for banding next week and already postponing a couple of out of state trips that I need to make this summer.  Would love to meet everyone ..I'm hoping to have as much success as all of you who have been secretly providing inspiration for a while .

I would love to go to the Zoo!!! I am hoping to have surgery at the end of the month or at the latest the beginning of next month. also My hubby is supposed to be coming home on RnR the beginning of August. I'm with the girls suggesting September. I'm not a big fan of the heat and I have a two year old that doesn't do well with it either.

Sounds like FUN! Have not been to the Asheboro Zoo but have been to Columbia. They have a real nice one also. Just let me know what  works out for everyone. Reenie

Oh that sounds fun!  A good in-the-middle spot for all of us to meet up.  They do have group rates, but you have to notify them a few weeks in advance, and one person has to pick-up/pay for all the tickets.  You could have everyone pay for their tickets on pay pal, that way whoever is picking up the tickets will have all the money in advance.  You can even reserve their group picnic area, which may be a nice spot for us to congregate, etc.  

Now how did I miss this post????  I LOVE zoos!  Especially good ones!  Don't know how I would manage the menagerie here as it would involve an overnight trip for me, but I am sure it can be done in some way...  Keep me posted on the plans as they evolve!
