I have a date! (and support group question)

I am excited, my surgery date is June 26th at 7:00am (I have to be there at 5am, yikes!  but luckily I will get to sleep through the surgery, haha!).  I have my pre-op date of June 13th.  I am on my last "diet" to lose 7 lbs and shrink my liver before starting my new lifestyle after my surgery. On the support group question, I know there is a great group in Monroe, I was just wondering if there is also a group in Matthews or that area.  I live almost in Matthews so I thought if there was one there, I might go there instead even though I met and really liked the group in Monroe.

Congratulations on getting a date!  It will be here before you know it! (Is that a greyhound or a Borzoi in the photo?  Beautiful headpiece!)

That is Iceman, my retired racing greyhound.  He is 12 years old and the sweetest thing on legs!  :)

Congrats on getting your date..  Both Mercy and Presby have support groups.. I attend the one in Monroe when I get a chance to.. which has not been recently.  I like that group of ladies.. they are friendly and down to earth.  :)   Good luck on your upcoming surgery!  Keep us posted.  :)

Jennifer, I can't believe how incredible you look!  The first support meeting we attended in Monroe was right after your surgery and now you are skinnie minnie, you look great!

This is my first time posting. I've been lurking since April and can't tell you how thankful I am for all the things I'm learning! I'm almost finished with all my pre-op testing and the surgeon I chose is Dr. Bauman. I hope to be approved and have my RNY surgery in September. My question is, how much weight does he require you to lose prior to your surgery and does he require you to be on a liquid diet for any length of time?
