OT: I need to vent to somebody Sorry Its Long

I know I havent been on in a while and I am sorry.  I miss everybody.   Well since my husband is in Cali and I had a week off from school, my daughter and I went home to Texas for 10 days.  For one reason is that my grandfather has cancer again in his adrenal glands which is serious bc they have had to remove his other one already for cancer and now its back.  Its more serious this time bc you can not function w/o one.  So please pray for him.   My 16 month old daughter got pink eye on Thursday, so took her to the doc and they gave her drops, which did not work.  It spread to both eyes and she could barely see, they were so swollen.  Everytime she woke up from sleeping her eyes would be matted shut.    She started to get a cough and a runny nose on friday along with a fever.  I didnt have her breathing machine to give her treatments so I had to wait till we came home.  We flew home on Saturday, I took her to the ER Saturday night bc she was not betterand running a 103 fever.   They said that she had bronchitis and severe conjuctivitis (pink eye) in both eyes,its so bad that her skin underneath her eyes is so raw that it bleeds when try to wipe all that goock off her eyes.  Very Sad.  Oh and also she has a stye in her left eye which makes it worse.So they changed her eyedrops to something stronger and put her on antibiotics.   Then told me to follow up with her pedi. So I go in this morning to her pedi, who is real good with Addy.  Her eyes are doing much better but it looks like she has two black eyes from her skin being raw.  The doc told me that she has croup from the way she sounds when she coughs.  So they put her a steriod medicine to reduce the inflammation and some ear drops because her ear has been drainig, which is a good thing for her because she has tubes.  So off to the pharmacy we go. After I pick up the meds, I give her her one antiobiotic that we got on Saturday and then give her her new one the steriod.  So come to find out shes allergic to the steriod one.  She breaks out in hives all over her body.  So I called the nurse and she told me to go buy some benadryl and they prescribed her some other meds.  I get home to give her her benadryl and she throws up 3 times.  She never took the benadryl and now she is passed out in her crib.  She ahs not ate in 3 days and hardly drinks.  So please pray for her to get better and for my sanity.   It seems that if things can not get worse it does.  But on a good note is that I have my physch evaluation tomorrow.  Which is my last test that I have to do before my decision appt.  My daughter has to go with me bc my husband is gone and I dont know anyone to watch her.  But I called and made sure it was ok and they said yes.  So thats good. Its been a crazy 2 weeks, and I just needed someone to talk to.  Thank you for reading and listening to me vent.  Im so stresses right now and need my husband but I have learned to be strong and handle it.   Thank you again

Amanda....... Hang in there girl!  Being a mom sure is tough business!  I hope she feels better soon, I hate it when small children are sick,,,you feel so helpless.  Best of luck on your eval.....hope it goes well with you.....hopefully they will see you have your hands full and zip you through it!  If you have not seen it already, we're having a lunch meeting here in Jax. on Wed.  The original post is a page or two back and by amyk1971 and it says something about lunch for onslow peeps.....check it out and do try to come!  Sounds like with the stress you are under you could use some cheering up!  Think about it!!!!!!!!!!  Have a peaceful night, get her to sleep, take a warm bath and turn in early....hmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds pretty good........ Thanks Nancy that does sound like a good idea only if I did not have so much to do around the house and to do homework.  Never ending.  I did see that there was a meeting the only thing is that I will have my daughter so I wouldnt be able to come.  Once my husband gets back I will be able to come to those meetings.  I really want to meet everyone already.  And I really hope the evaluation goes fast bc I know my daughter is not going to be good due to the fact she does not feel good.  I might just have to take that bath but first I have to clean out all the bath toys. Amanda, I'm sorry to hear you're going through all of this.  It does seem to happen when our husbands are gone or right along with a million other things, doesn't it?? You are more than welcome to bring your daughter to the luncheon today.  It is not a "meeting,"  it's just a get-together so that we can all see each other and chat a bit.  :)  Hope to see you there!
