What can you not live without post-op?

We always have newbies joining us, and I thought we could all post a list of food items we couldn't live without post-op.  I know I have a few, and I'm sure others do as well.  Maybe we can find something someone else eats and try it ourselves. From Sam's: Individually frozen salmon fillets - defrost in 2 minutes, microwave for 2 minutes 272 cals, 12g fat, 0 carbs, 41g protein Mesquite Grilled Chicken Fillets - cook in microwave from frozen, 2.5 minutes 160 cals, 4g fat, 2g carbs, 29g protein Frozen, pre-cooked shrimp -- defrost in 3 minutes (3oz) 99 cals, 1.08g fat  0 carbs, 20.91g protein From HT: Flat-out flax wraps, milled/ground flax seed, greek yogurt (either oikos or fage), sf preserves, sf/ff cook and serve pudding (I add protein powder to this)

Andrea, I couldn't live without string cheese and hard-boiled eggs.  I know they're pretty simple but I really relied on them a lot.  I'm going to have to try your Salmon, what is this Flat-out flax wraps and where would I get them?  (Oh... just noticed HT - Harris Teeter... we don't have those stores here, I'll have to get some next time I'm in Wilmington) Sounds good though.  I also love to either roast a chicken or get the store rotissery chicken and add it to a salad... I know "newbies' are advised to wait 6 months before eating lettuce... but it will be a good addition when you can eat it.   Have a good day,
Sheryl

Never liked cottage cheese before but a good staple, low in fat and high in protein.   Trader Joes also has a grilled chicken which is already cooked and back by the deli meats and you just pop in micro for 2 min., and put on salads (which i also started at 2 months).   Low fat mexican cheese on nacho chips or FF refried beans.    A quick fast food for me is Wendy's small chili as high in protein and 210 cal.     I also would never get in all my protein without my bullets which have 42g. Andrea, This is a great topic in case you did not know it you are shinning HT deli soups Vermont Cheddar,Chicken Chili soo good both of them I cant eat the whole container so I usally get two meals out of one container. Greek Yogurt my all time favorite with sliced strawberries or fresh rasberries and a teaspoon of lime curd to me it is almost as good as a ice cream sundae.                                            Annie
