OT My Grandma AND my Uncle
Darcie,
It doesn't sound 'weird' at all. I think maybe going to Mt. Rose with your family and also take a bit of her with you to Ireland would be wonderful. I think that even if you aren't able to take her ashes with you for some reason, consider taking another piece of her ... hair from her brush, a hankerchief, etc... and cast them to the Shannon River in her honor and for her memory. She will always be a part of you and with you in memory, but having a way to create 'closure' is important. That's why every culture has a process that celebrates life, allows time to mourn and ultimately a time to heal and move forward. It's so very normal to want to find and have a special way and place in which to remember her. Go do what will be meaningful to you and your loving memories of such a dear person in your life.
Love,
Barb

Thank you very much, yes she does not want to get *better* because she is stage 4 and cannot really get any better then she is right now.. I just hope that God takes her soon and that its not painful for her.. she needs peace after all she has been through in her life.. thanks for your support.
Ken,
I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. I wish you the peace that time and sweet memories will bring.
