Thank you for the wonderful heart felt WELCOME!! The weight loss is the easy part but keeping it off is the scary part. Never thought I would say that when I was going through the surgery. LOL But I guess we all live in fear of gaining it back. That comes from so many times of failing with diet after diet. At any rate I am doing great and even though I'm a big girl at 5'9" tall I feel great at a size 12.

Hey Kathy: Where have you relocated to in NC.  There are a lot of groups that also meet (even tho i haven't been lucky enough to attend one yet) so maybe u can hook up at one of those.  I am going from the Charlotte area in July to meet up with the ppl there on the 3rd sat of the month. Hey Pam, I'm in Kings Mountain, NC.  I am sure with Charlotte being such a big town there are lots of group meetings there.  I just haven't looked into this yet.  I am still looking for a job.  Seems the job market in this area is really slow right now.   Where are you from?  Of course I don't know the area here all that well.    How long have you been out from your surgery?  What kind of surgery did you have and when?  I know I'm full of questions....just want to get to know you better.  Perhaps we can chat on the phone at some point.  I am anixious to make new friends in this area.   Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Hey Kathy, You are about 30 miles west of Charlotte and i am in Huntersville which is about 13 miles north of downtown Charlotte.   I am originally from MI but am a damn yankee as i will never move back north.  I am just over 3 months out of surgery and from my 2 week preop until now i have lost 64 lbs.   My thyroid was low so i didn't lose anything for almost a month but that is great now.  I had the RNY and have never regreted it.   I love my pouch!   My home email is [email protected] and my AIM is mamatokarz.     You may want to post where you are looking for work and in what field and if anyone knows of something, they can lead you in the right direction.
