Hi Everyone...New to this Board

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to pop in and say hello.  I am a gastric bypass patient.  I will celebrate my 2 year anniversary July 3rd and I am happy to say I am down 145 lbs.  I've gone from a size 28 to a size 12.  It's been the most amazing journey of my life.   Anyone who is struggling right now with the decision to have this done, fighting with the insurance company to get an approval or suffering through the process of getting here...IT'S SO WORTH IT!!  Keep up the fight and you too will be successful.   I wish you good health, happy shopping, and most of all the gratification that only comes through doing something so special for YOU!! Hello Deb... Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post.  It's been a while since I've been on OH.  I have recently moved from Virginia to North Carolina and just haven't gotten settled in just yet.  This is yet a new chapter in my life.   I do miss my friends from Virginia but I also know I am living my life now here in NC.  This was a positive move for me.   I checked out your profile and pics.  You look fantastic and you've done so well since your surgery.  Wow...it is an amazing journey for us all.  Lots of Love Kathy

Hello Pam, Thanks for the reply...it's always nice to hear from friendly peeps and you are definitely one of them.  We are all a form of inspiration to one another.  It's the kind of support system that gets us through the journey.  You too are doing great.  Keep up the good work and it won't be anytime at all before you are at your goal and feeling wonderful about yourself and your new imagine.  Not to mention your health.  Lots of Love Kathy

Thank you so much for your reply and your congrats.  I am new to NC but not to OH.  I just recently moved here from Virginia and I'm trying to get settled in.  I thought that OH would be a great place to make new friends.  I made such good friends on the Virginia board when I was active there. 

 I have to say that you look fantastic and I'm sure you can relate in the amazement of this wonderful journey.

Thank you for your wonderful reply. So nice of you to take the time to say hi. You look wonderful and you used the term "long term" but actually it feels like I just had this done a few months ago. It has been amazing and yet I know I look much different than before. I do still have trouble seeing it in the mirror. I still feel fat. Funny how that happens...huh? LOL
