HELP!

I having of having a knot just under my breast bone is that normal?  I have it just with sipping my water.  They repaired a hernia while they were in there so I don't know if this is just normal until I heal completely or not.  I go to my Dr. Tuesday for my two week check .  Just wondering if this is normal. i remember during my seminar, they spoke of hernias that can "pop" out. i think, though, they said they form around an incision. is it close to one?

I haven't had that issue so don't know if it is normal. Good luck on Tuesday! Pam

A hernia would be lower down.. right??  I would suspect that there could be some swelling and such that might "pop out"... but ask your doc for sure on Tuesday!!!

Please don't hesitate to call your doc's off hours line.  They are there to stop the big issues and to reassure you about the small ones.  Call  now.  It will certainly make you feel better.  (I wish I had called them earlier when I had my strangulated hernia just after surgery!)
