Good AM Carolina!

Good am all!   Things are moving ahead with my wls process, but i'm a little disappointed with my cardiac appointment date - August 8!!!  Oh well.  Maybe there is a good reason for this, at least that's what I try to say to myself so I will stay positive.  My ultrasound is 6/10, endoscopy 6/11, nutrition consult 6/18.  Still haven't gotten any info about my psch or pulmonary eval.  I've tried to get in contact with the office that is doing my endoscopy about my insurance, but haven't gotten a call back.  I'll try again today.   On another note... The new grandson is doing great.  He has finally caught on to breast feeding.  Being in the hospital for an extra week got him off track.  For the past 2 years I've taken my 3 oldest grandsons to the beach for a few days so I'm starting to plan our trip for this year.   Hope everyone has a great day! 

Good Morning Donna, My name is Judy Jones and I'm enrolled in the program at Duke and have finally received my first appointment date (August 1st).   I scheduled my pcp appointment for June 5th but none of the other appointments.  Congratulations on having gotten all of your appointments scheduled.  After seeing your note I'm a little worried about getting in to have all of the tests completed before my appointment Aug 1st. Where are you having your surgery and who is your doctor? Regards, Judy

Hi Judy it is good to meet you!  Hopefully you will get your appointments lined up before 8/1.  I'm having my surgery in Greenville at Pitt.  My dr is Dr. Mann.   Trying to stay calm, cool, and collected is hard work !!!!

Hi Shelli, I really want to get all of my appointments lined up so I can plan my summer.  Last summer I took 2 classes and was pretty much holed up studying except for the few days I took the boys to the beach.  I learned a lesson from that!!! I will have a summer this year.  lol  As long as my appointments aren't TOO far off, I don't mind the waiting so much as...I just want to KNOW!!!  (inquiring minds want to know!)   Wow.  Looks like you time for wls is coming up fast!  Congrats!!!  Starting those good habits now will really help us in the long run.  Hope you get your insurance date soon.  too be this close and not have a date has got to be nerve racking! 

Donna, call SS and request they send you to another cardiac specialist who can get you in sooner. I did. they are very accomodating. we are SOOOO on track with one another :)

I may do just that!  I wonder if there is any reson why they send you to one cardiac dr rather than another? Friend Girl - We're going to be styling and profiling before you know it  

i think it may depend on which dr you chose..but in the end they will send you to any of the offices on the list.. call them now.. i talked to "neil" he was very nice and helpful. im still fuming as to why i have to pay 400 for my endocopy and you only 30.. maybe its becuase dr macdonald does his at the hospital? dont you have BCBS?

Yes, I have BCBS through work.  My plan is Blue Points.  This morning when I talked to Atlantic Gastroenterology the lady said they work in conjunction with BCBS and do the procedure in office.  It must have something to do with our insurance plan here.  Not sure about that though $4K is a huge hunk of change to have to pay out-of-pocket.
