Suprise!! Fill #3!!!

I started out this weekend traveling to Mom's in Mooresville to visit a day before I had my fill consult today (monday).  We had a blast this weekend, just the 2 of us.  We ate out.....( big daddy's Lynn, lol), shopped till SHE dropped, had Clinique makeovers, and stayed up each night till 2am!!!  We even ran out of the mall with bags on our head due to the rain, lol.  Anyway, I left this morning for the Dr., in anticipation of having a consult for a fill.  My state BCBS is set up this way, which stinks given the price of gas and 4 1/2 hour travel.  I found out I am AT my first goal weight of 162, which I set up for myself the day after surgery.  I have not taken my BP meds in 3 months and it is and has been holding in 124/66!!  So, I'm off my cholesterol and BP meds!!  I asked Dr. Bauman why I could not do this visit over the phone since he really didn't need to SEE me, and I explained the drive (he was shocked) and I get no travel expenses.  He had the insurance girl phone in for a instant approval and doubted it would go through, but VOILA!!!!!!  It was approved and I was filled then and there.  I don't have to have a second trip.  I was sooooooo happy with all this good news I had to call Andrea to "ride my high" a little longer, lol.  I had another happy moment, I stopped by to see my son in Greensboro and we had a nice liquid lunch.  Today was soooo good, I even won a dollar in last nights lottery, lol.  Just wanted to share with ya'll.....it's been awhile for me to have something worth bragging about.  Now, it's back to the gym tomorrow!!  Thanks for being here ya'll!   ps- And Darcie, YES, I bought smaller clothes, lol Nancy

Way to go Nancy, congratulations!  I just tried the very same thing with Dr. Bauman on Friday.  I have an almost 3 hour drive and have to go twice each time.  I was not so lucky and have to go back to get the fill in a 2nd visit.  i have BCBS of NC.  Dr. B said there is a meeting coming up with Blue Cross and he is going to talk to them about patients having to come in twice for a fill.  I mentioned the price of gas to him too!  I'm glad it worked out for you.  (I have to pay a $40.00 co-pay each visit, which stinks too!)

Noodle, I am just SO glad for you!  Sorry I wasn't around when you called but I am happy that Andrea was available to ride the high with you.  You SO deserve it!  Congratulations on reaching that goal.  I know you will reach them all!  You're really an inspiration!
